WASBE aims to support and celebrate talented composers from diverse backgrounds. The program's objectives include: promoting regional diversity by commissioning established composers from around the world, supporting works from a young generation of composers, and fostering global awareness of wind band music through promoting new works. By doing so, WASBE seeks to foster a more inclusive and diverse musical landscape. Through these commissions, WASBE endeavors to enrich the repertoire of symphonic bands and ensembles, showcasing innovative and exceptional music from around the world.
